X Platform Faces Criticism Over Inaction on Racist Posts Targeting UK Politicians
Social media platform X has reportedly declined to remove numerous posts flagged as "hate, abuse or harassment" that racially abuse prominent UK politicians. This includes instances targeting Kemi Badenoch, Shabana Mahmood, and Zia Yusuf. In May, the social inclusion thinktank British Future reported 30 posts from this year calling the Conservative party leader the N-word, to which X largely did not act despite repeated requests.

Social media platform X is facing scrutiny after reportedly refusing to remove dozens of posts identified as "hate, abuse or harassment" that contain racial abuse directed at prominent UK politicians.
Among the individuals targeted are Conservative party leader Kemi Badenoch, Shabana Mahmood, and Zia Yusuf. Researchers from the social inclusion thinktank British Future highlighted this issue in May, documenting 30 posts from the current year that referred to Kemi Badenoch with the N-word.
The researchers utilized the platform's designated "hate, abuse or harassment" reporting option for each instance. However, X reportedly declined to take action in the majority of these cases, even after multiple requests were made.
