Chinese Analyst Interprets Israel's US Aid Exit as Sign of Declining Alliances
A prominent Chinese international relations analyst suggests that Israel's efforts to phase out American military aid indicate a broader decline in US alliances. Zhu Zhaoyi, executive director of the Institute of Middle East Studies at Peking University HSBC Business School, wrote in a commentary published on Monday that Washington's "America first" position, influenced by rising financial pressures, contributes to this trend.

Israel's reported efforts to gradually cease receiving American military aid have been interpreted by a leading Chinese international relations analyst as a sign of a broader decline in United States alliances.
Zhu Zhaoyi, who serves as the executive director of the Institute of Middle East Studies at Peking University HSBC Business School, articulated this view in a commentary published on Monday. According to Zhu, the demands stemming from Washington’s “America first” stance are a contributing factor to the perceived weakening of these alliances.
In his commentary, Zhu Zhaoyi also suggested that rising financial pressures have fueled this “America first” approach, influencing the dynamics of Washington's relationships with its global partners.
