Drake Extends Billboard 200 No. 1 Record, Surpassing Adele
Drake has increased his career total to 41 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with his album "Iceman," which held the top spot as of June 20. This achievement positions him as the hip-hop and Canadian artist with the most weeks at No. 1, surpassing Adele's previous record of 40 weeks. Drake is now one week away from tying Morgan Wallen's 42-week record on the chart.
Drake has further cemented his chart dominance by accumulating 41 total weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. His album, "Iceman," maintained its top position on the chart dated June 20, adding to his extensive career tally.
This milestone establishes Drake as both the hip-hop artist and the Canadian artist with the most weeks spent at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. He has now moved ahead of Adele, who had previously logged 40 weeks at the top of the chart between 2011 and 2022. Should "Iceman" remain at No. 1 for an additional week, Drake will draw even with Morgan Wallen, who currently holds 42 weeks at the summit.
Drake's No. 1 albums have spanned a period of nearly 16 years, from July 2010 to June 2026.
The Billboard 200, which began consistent weekly publishing on March 24, 1956, captures the entirety of Elvis Presley's career on the album charts. His debut album, "Elvis Presley," entered the chart at No. 11 on March 31, 1956, during the chart's second week of publication.
The "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack, which spent 24 weeks at No. 1 in 1978, is counted by Billboard as a multi-artist soundtrack album. If it were attributed solely to the Bee Gees, who had six tracks on the album, five of which were No. 1 hits on the Hot 100, the trio would accrue 31 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
According to Billboard, the publication examines all acts with 30 or more weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 since its consistent weekly launch.
