Olivia Rodrigo's newly released third studio album, "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love," has debuted with record-breaking streaming figures. The 23-year-old singer-songwriter's album, released on Friday, June 12, through Geffen Records, is reportedly shattering streaming records across major platforms.
Spotify announced that the 13-track album became the most-streamed album in a single day in 2026 so far by a female artist. Additionally, Amazon Music revealed that the album achieved the platform's biggest first 24-hour streaming debut globally of any album on Amazon Music in 2026.
This new project follows Rodrigo's previous full-length release by three years. Her second album, "Guts," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2023. Prior to this album's release, Rodrigo performed at a Billions Club Live event in Barcelona in May. This exclusive, one-night-only show at the outdoor Teatre Grec gathered 1,500 fans and featured performances of eight of her nine Spotify Billions Club tracks, along with songs from her first two albums and her recent single, "Drop Dead." A concert film of this performance was later released on May 27.
Rodrigo's 2021 debut album, "Sour," has also achieved significant success, ranking No. 4 among Spotify's most-streamed albums of all time. "Sour" is second only to Bad Bunny's "Un Verano Sin Ti" for albums with the most tracks surpassing 1 billion streams on Spotify, with seven songs reaching this milestone. Rodrigo is recognized as one of the youngest artists with multiple songs in Spotify's Billions Club.
