Philippines Protests China's Sanctions on Defence Chief Teodoro
The Philippines has formally protested the Chinese government's imposition of sanctions against its Defence Chief, Mr. Teodoro, and his family. Manila described these actions as an "unfriendly act." China's government initiated these restrictions, which include prohibiting individuals and groups within China from conducting any transactions with Teodoro, stating the measures were necessary "to uphold China's sovereignty, security and development interests."
