The "Voice Translate" feature, previously exclusive to the Pixel 10 series, is being rolled out to the Pixel 10a as part of the June Pixel Drop. This update introduces an AI-powered tool designed to enhance cross-language communication during phone calls.
With Voice Translate, Pixel 10a users can engage in conversations with individuals who speak a different language. The system automatically translates the speaker's voice into the listener's language in real-time. A notable aspect of the feature is its ability to mimic the speaker's voice, aiming for a more personalized and natural translated speech.
To utilize Voice Translate, users need to navigate to "Call Assist" and then select "Voice translate" while on an active call. From there, they can specify the language spoken by the other person, initiating the translation process.
According to Android Authority, this expansion brings a significant AI communication tool to a broader range of Pixel devices.
