SIFF YOUNG Names Nine Filmmakers for 2026 Incubation Program
The SIFF YOUNG filmmaker discovery and incubation program has announced its 2026 class, selecting nine talents from a pool of 59 applicants. These individuals, specializing in directing, producing, and screenwriting, will participate in the initiative backed by the Shanghai Film Bureau. The program aims to foster emerging film talent within the industry.

SIFF YOUNG, a filmmaker discovery and incubation program supported by the Shanghai Film Bureau, has unveiled its 2026 class. The program selected nine talents from a total of 59 applicants across directing, producing, and screenwriting disciplines.
Five directors were named to the 2026 class: Bai Xue, Su Biao, Teng Congcong, Wang Tong, and Xu Lei.
The three producers selected are Hu Jing, Titi, and Xie. Cai Tao was chosen as the sole screenwriter for this year's cohort.
The SIFF YOUNG initiative is designed to identify and nurture upcoming filmmakers, providing a platform for their development within the film industry.
According to Variety, these selections mark the latest group to join the program's efforts in talent cultivation.
