The Smashing Pumpkins and Chris Stapleton are set to co-headline America250's "America's Block Party" concert on July 4, 2026. The event, hosted by Queen Latifah, will be held at Los Angeles' Memorial Coliseum.
All proceeds from ticket sales, after fees, will be donated to Feeding America, the nation's largest hunger-relief organization. Tickets are priced at $17.76, and 5,000 complimentary tickets will be provided to veterans and active-duty service members, who can claim them through VetTix.
The day-long celebration is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. with the Block Party Village, offering free food, drinks, face painting, games, and giveaways. The festivities will conclude with a drone and fireworks spectacular.
America250 was established by Congress in 2016 through the nonpartisan U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission, tasked with planning the nation's 250th anniversary celebrations. Rosie Rios, chair of America250, stated that the anniversary provides an opportunity to unite Americans around shared values.
The announcement comes after the cancellation of a separate initiative, Freedom250's "Great American State Fair" concert series. The Freedom250 effort, which has no affiliation with the congressionally launched America250, had faced multiple artist withdrawals before its cancellation.
According to Billboard, more acts for the "America's Block Party" event are expected to be announced at a later date.
