Tom Holland Suggests Owen Cooper as Spider-Man Successor, Confirms Marriage to Zendaya
Actor Tom Holland has publicly suggested Owen Cooper, known for Netflix's *Adolescence*, as a potential successor for his iconic role as Spider-Man. Holland praised the 16-year-old British actor's talent during an interview. In the same conversation, Holland confirmed his marriage to co-star Zendaya, though he opted not to provide any additional details regarding their union.

Tom Holland has once again addressed the topic of passing on the Spider-Man role, this time specifically naming Owen Cooper as a potential successor. Holland, 30, identified Cooper, a 16-year-old British actor who played Jamie Miller in Netflix's *Adolescence*, as a suitable candidate for the role of Peter Parker.
“Owen Cooper would be awesome,” Holland stated in a profile published by Esquire. He added that Cooper is “super-talented and the talk of the town right now.” This recent comment follows Holland's previous remarks to Empire last month, where he expressed a desire to help establish the next chapter for the Spider-Man franchise, mentioning potential replacements such as Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, or a Spider-Woman.
Holland is slated to appear in *Brand New Day* next month. However, his participation in *Avengers: Doomsday*, scheduled for December, and *Avengers: Secret Wars*, set for next year, has not yet been confirmed. Despite discussing potential successors, Holland has also indicated he hopes to return as Spider-Man several more times.
In the same Esquire interview, Holland confirmed his marriage to fellow Spider-Man co-star Zendaya, who portrays Michelle Jones Watson in the films. He chose not to disclose further details regarding their marriage.
