Azerbaijan Considering Full Withdrawal from Council of Europe
Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has stated that Baku is evaluating a complete withdrawal from the Council of Europe. This consideration follows the suspension of Azerbaijan's voting rights in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in 2024.
President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has announced that the nation is considering a full withdrawal from the Council of Europe, a 46-member international organization.
This deliberation comes after Azerbaijan's voting rights within the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) were suspended in 2024.
According to Euronews, Aliyev's statement indicates a significant re-evaluation of Azerbaijan's membership in the intergovernmental body.
