Quality standards
Every contributed article must:
- Be entirely original to Fainaron \u2014 not previously published anywhere else, in any language.
- Contain verifiable, cited sources. Primary sources are preferred over secondary.
- Avoid plagiarism, unattributed quotes, and fabricated statistics. We screen with multiple plagiarism and AI-generation detectors.
- Provide genuine value: analysis, original reporting, or a new perspective \u2014 not a rehash of existing coverage.
- Run 800\u20132,500 words for standard features, longer for investigations (by prior agreement).
- Use neutral, professional tone. No clickbait, no inflammatory framing.
Author requirements
- Demonstrated subject-matter expertise OR a strong record of published work in the topic area.
- Willingness to sign a one-page contributor agreement covering originality, rights, and corrections.
- Responsiveness to editor feedback within agreed deadlines.
- Real name and verifiable identity (a permanent author profile is created on publication).
Submission process
1. Pitch your idea
Send us a one-paragraph pitch with your angle, why it matters now, and 2–3 sources you’ll cite. Attach your byline + 2 best published clips.
2. Editor review
You’ll hear back within 5 business days. Approved pitches receive a brief with structure, word count, deadline, and rate.
3. Submit your draft
Drafts go through our standard editing pass: fact-check, structure, SEO polish, headline workshop, and image sourcing.
4. Publication
Once approved, your piece is published with a permanent author byline, social distribution, and inclusion in our newsletter.
