Brazilian Woman Arrested for Allegedly Posing as Child in Fraud Scheme
A 38-year-old woman, Amanda Maria Souza de Oliveira, has been arrested in Brazil's southern state of Santa Catarina. She is accused of posing as a 12-year-old girl, allegedly to deceive a couple who hosted her for more than a year. Police state that Souza de Oliveira admitted to lying to secure financial support through this alleged scheme. She faces charges of fraud and false identity offences.
