Academy Award-winning filmmaker Christopher Nolan, accompanied by actors Matt Damon and Tom Holland, and producer Emma Thomas, is scheduled to visit Mumbai this July for the India premiere of his new film, 'The Odyssey'. This event marks the first time a Christopher Nolan film will premiere in India, with Mumbai designated as an official stop on the global premiere tour, alongside cities like London, Paris, and New York. The film, shot entirely with new IMAX film technology, is set for a worldwide release on July 17.

The India premiere marks a significant occasion as 'The Odyssey' will be the first Christopher Nolan film ever to debut in the country. Mumbai has been chosen by the filmmakers and Universal Pictures International as an official stop on the film's global premiere tour, placing it alongside major cities such as London, Paris, and New York.
'The Odyssey' is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on July 17. The film distinguishes itself by being the first feature film shot entirely with IMAX cameras, utilizing brand new IMAX film technology. The India premiere event will take place at PVR Icon IMAX: Phoenix Palladium in Mumbai.
The movie's cast includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Samantha Morton, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron. It is produced by Emma Thomas and Christopher Nolan through their company, Syncopy. Nolan also wrote and directed the film, which adapts Homer’s foundational saga of Odysseus’s decade-long journey home after the fall of Troy for IMAX screens globally.
The Mumbai premiere is considered one of the most significant Hollywood visits ever organized in India. Advance tickets for 'The Odyssey' in IMAX are already available in cinemas across India, with reports indicating IMAX ticket prices have reached Rs. 3000 in Pune, while remaining as low as Rs. 370 in Delhi.
