Democrats to Address Delay in Jay Clayton's Confirmation
Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (N.Y.), alongside Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chair Mark Warner (Va.) and other committee Democrats, is scheduled to hold a press conference Wednesday afternoon. The briefing will address President Trump's decision to delay the confirmation process for Jay Clayton, whom Trump had selected as director of national intelligence. Clayton is a federal prosecutor proposed for the key intelligence role.
