Diablo 4 Season 14 Receives Update 3.1.1, Increasing Mythic Unique Availability
Diablo 4 Season 14, launched on June 30, has received its first update, Patch 3.1.1, on July 14. This update focuses on making 'Mythic Uniques 3.0' more accessible by increasing the availability of Pandemonium Fragments and reducing their crafting cost. Despite these changes aimed at boosting the acquisition of Mythic Uniques, player feedback indicates that core issues, such as the limit of equipping only one crafted Mythic and the difficulty in finding usable random Mythic drops, remain unaddressed.

Diablo 4 Season 14, known for its "Mythic Uniques 3.0" system, received its inaugural update, Patch 3.1.1, on July 14. The season commenced on June 30, introducing an overhaul to the game's item chase that allows over 100 Unique items to be upgraded into more potent Mythic Uniques.
The update primarily targets the acquisition rate of these Mythic items. Key changes include making Pandemonium Fragments, the currency used to convert Uniques to Mythics via the Horadric Cube, more plentiful. Blizzard has ensured a guaranteed drop of these fragments from the repeatable Glints of Hope reputation reward. Additionally, the Corrupted Reaper now drops up to two fragments on higher Torment tiers, a significant increase from the previous one. The crafting cost for upgrading Uniques to Mythics has also been reduced from five to four Pandemonium Fragments.
While these adjustments are expected to allow players to acquire more Mythic Uniques, they do not resolve the season's fundamental challenges that have garnered player dissatisfaction. Concerns persist regarding the restriction of equipping only one crafted Mythic item at a time and the low probability of finding highly desired, usable Mythic items as random drops. Players have expressed a struggle to target and farm specific items for their builds, often relying on luck to convert random Uniques into viable Mythics.
Beyond the Mythic item changes, Patch 3.1.1 introduces various bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements across the game. These include fixes for seasonal objectives, issues in dungeons and boss encounters, and adjustments to specific class abilities for Paladin, Spiritborn, Warlock, Barbarian, Druid, and Rogue. Cosmetic and UI issues, such as clipping on mount armor and incorrect wardrobe icons, have also been addressed, alongside general performance and stability enhancements.
