Feyenoord Reaches Agreement to Sign OGC Nice Midfielder Charles Vanhoutte
Feyenoord has reportedly reached an agreement with OGC Nice for the transfer of 27-year-old midfielder Charles Vanhoutte. The deal is valued at €6 million and follows Vanhoutte's brief tenure at Nice, which began last summer after joining from Union Saint-Gilloise. He is expected to travel to the Netherlands in the coming days to undergo a medical examination and complete his move to the Eredivisie club.
Feyenoord has reportedly reached an agreement with OGC Nice for the transfer of midfielder Charles Vanhoutte. The 27-year-old Belgian is set to join the Dutch club, with reports indicating a €6 million fee for his services.
Vanhoutte's move to Nice last summer from Union Saint-Gilloise was short-lived. He reportedly hoped the transfer to the Allianz Riviera would enhance his prospects of joining Belgium's FIFA World Cup squad.
His time at Nice began positively under coach Franck Haise, who was reportedly key in bringing him to the club. However, Vanhoutte's impact reportedly waned as the team faced challenges, and by the end of the season under Claude Puel, his role diminished.
An agreement between the two clubs was reportedly reached on Sunday, following earlier talks. Vanhoutte is anticipated to travel to the Netherlands in the coming days to undergo a medical and finalize his transfer to Feyenoord.
According to L’Équipe, as reported by Yahoo Sports Soccer, OGC Nice will receive €6 million for the midfielder.
