Final Fantasy Resonance Physical Edition Excludes Xbox Series X|S
Final Fantasy Resonance, a new turn-based HD-2D RPG adapting the story of Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, is set to release on October 22. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game is offered in two editions for preorder: Standard and Digital Deluxe. Notably, while other platforms receive physical copies, a physical edition of Final Fantasy Resonance will not be released for Xbox Series X|S.

Final Fantasy Resonance is scheduled to launch on October 22 for PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This new turn-based RPG features HD-2D graphics and draws its story from the mobile game Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius. Pre-orders for the game are currently open.
The game will be available in two editions: a Standard Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition. The Standard Edition is priced at $49.99 across all platforms. Physical versions of the Standard Edition are offered at various retailers, though the Xbox Series X|S will only receive a digital release. The Switch 2 version of the game will come as a Game-Key Card.
The Digital Deluxe Edition is available for $59.99 on PS5, Xbox, and PC, with availability for Switch 2 and Switch noted as not yet available. This edition includes the base game, all preorder bonuses, and the Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack. The deluxe pack features items such as a Magitek Armor Key, Archwitch’s Grimoire, Mastery Ring, five Tents, five Mist Potions, five Mist Ethers, five Phoenix Downs, and three Remedies, designed to transform a chocobo's appearance, unlock a character's Fel Meteor Limit Burst, and provide useful starting items.
All pre-orders of Final Fantasy Resonance will include in-game bonuses. These bonuses consist of a Magitek Airship Passkey, Chestplate of Preparation, Knight’s Greatsword, one Magicite Shard, three Tents, three Mist Potions, a Blessed Cuirass, and one Mist Ether.
Final Fantasy Resonance is presented as a single-player RPG, reimagining the narrative of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius without the gacha mechanics of the mobile title. It introduces a new overworld and battle system while incorporating classic Final Fantasy elements such as world crystals, chocobos, airships, and battle summons. Players can also summon iconic heroes like Cloud, Zidane, and Lightning to aid in combat.
According to IGN, Final Fantasy Resonance is available for preorder ahead of its October 22 release.
