Finnish Retailer Kesko Acquires Dahl's Scandinavian Operations in Major Deal
Finnish retailer Kesko Oyj has finalized an agreement to acquire the Scandinavian operations of building materials distributor Dahl. This significant transaction involves Dahl's businesses across Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. The acquisition is valued at €1.2 billion ($1.4 billion), a figure that excludes existing debt, and represents Kesko's largest deal to date.

Finnish retailer Kesko Oyj has announced its agreement to acquire the Scandinavian operations of building materials distributor Dahl. The transaction encompasses Dahl's businesses located in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
The acquisition is valued at €1.2 billion, which is equivalent to approximately $1.4 billion. This stated price specifically excludes existing debt. Cie. de Saint-Gobain SA is identified as the seller of these Scandinavian units.
This deal has been noted as Kesko's largest acquisition to date, marking a significant expansion for the Finnish retailer within the building materials sector across the Nordic region.
According to Bloomberg Markets, the Finnish retailer has committed to this substantial investment to enhance its market position.
