Forza Horizon 6: Player Balances Rolled Back Following Credit Exploit
Playground Games has confirmed that bank balances for Forza Horizon 6 players who utilized a specific exploit to accumulate large amounts of in-game credits will be rolled back. Accounts involved in the exploit will be restored to a maximum of 10 million credits, with no further punitive action taken against players due to the error being on the developer's side. The exploit involved a GMC Hummer EV in a glitched state within The Eliminator mode, allowing players to amass nearly a billion credits.

Playground Games has initiated a rollback of in-game bank balances for Forza Horizon 6 players who exploited a bug to gain substantial amounts of credits. Players found to have participated in this method will see their accounts adjusted to a maximum of 10 million credits. The developer stated that no additional action would be taken against these players, acknowledging the error originated on their side and aiming to preserve the integrity of the in-game economy.
The exploit enabled players to accumulate 999,999,999 credits rapidly. This was achieved by placing a GMC Hummer EV into a glitched state and then entering matchmaking for The Eliminator mode. As a temporary measure, Playground Games has disabled matchmaking for The Eliminator mode while a permanent fix is developed.
In addition to addressing the credit exploit, a recent update for Forza Horizon 6 introduced several other fixes and adjustments. These include tweaks to road discovery and leveling within the online mode, Horizon Play. A 'Roads Driven' percentage has been added to region overviews, facilitating the tracking of undiscovered roads.
The amount of XP required to advance from level 26 to level 100 in Horizon Play has also been adjusted. Previously, reaching level 100, which is tied to the 'Maxed Out' Achievement, was estimated to take approximately 1000 hours of online play—an unintended duration. Following the update, players who have already achieved level 32 will automatically jump to level 100 and unlock the associated Achievement.
Furthermore, the update tackles the issue of drag tyres providing an unrealistic advantage outside of drag racing events. Adjustments have been made to ensure drag tyres are no longer the optimal choice for other racing scenarios. While the PI (Performance Index) cost of drag tyres remains unchanged, their cornering performance has been significantly reduced. The development team is aware that this change necessitates the removal of numerous leaderboard entries set using drag tyres prior to this patch, a process that will be ongoing.
According to IGN, the full update notes are available on the official Forza Support page.
