Reports indicated that numerous users were encountering issues when trying to use Google's AI assistant for calls, often resulting in an error message stating, “Something went wrong. Please try again.”
The problem persisted despite standard troubleshooting efforts, such as clearing app data or reinstalling applications. Some users had resorted to switching back to Google Assistant or uninstalling recent updates to restore calling functionality.
