Google Home Speaker Launches June 25, Available for Preorder at $99.99
Google has announced the release date for its new Google Home Speaker, set to launch on June 25. The device is currently available for preorder at a price of $99.99. First announced last August, this Gemini-powered speaker marks Google's return to the smart home audio market after several years, featuring a compact design and 360-degree sound capabilities.

The Google Home Speaker is scheduled for release on June 25, with preorders currently open at a price of $99.99. This new device, which was initially announced last August, represents Google's first new smart home speaker in years and its first home audio product in nearly six years, following the Nest Audio which debuted in September 2020.
The speaker features a small, round design, technically described as an oblate spheroid. It is covered in a partially recycled fabric and will be available in four colors: hazel, porcelain, jade, and berry. The jade and berry color options are stated to be limited to the U.S. market.
Designed to offer a consistent listening experience throughout a room, the Google Home Speaker produces "360-degree sound." It incorporates a light ring around its base that glows to indicate when the device is actively listening, processing information, or responding. For user interaction, the speaker is equipped with three far-field microphones and includes a physical mute switch for privacy.
