Mexican rock band Maná is scheduled to perform a free concert on June 17 at 9 p.m. at the La Minerva Roundabout. This event precedes Mexico’s match against South Korea at Guadalajara Stadium. Maná, formed in Guadalajara in 1986, is known for selling over 40 million records and winning multiple Grammy Awards. The band also performed at the World Cup opening ceremony in Mexico City on June 11.
Alejandro Fernández will also offer a free concert at La Minerva on June 25, leading up to the Uruguay versus Spain match on June 26 at Guadalajara Stadium. Details regarding the concert's start time are forthcoming. Fernández previously sang Mexico's national anthem at the opening ceremony. Authorities plan to maintain the stage and screen setup at La Minerva for both free concerts.
Spanish tenor Plácido Domingo is set to perform on June 25 at the Plácido Domingo theater within the Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas. This concert will not be free, with tickets available for purchase on the venue's website. Domingo's participation aims to introduce a classical music element to the diverse concert program.
