Hallmark Unveils New PlayStation Console Ornament with Startup Sound for 2026 Collection

Hallmark has revealed its initial wave of 2026 Keepsake Ornaments, highlighting a new gaming-themed collection. A prominent item in this collection is an accurate recreation of the original PlayStation console.

Designed by artist Orville Wilson, the ornament measures four inches wide and includes intricate details such as the Power, Reset, and Open buttons, a disc drive, and a wired rendition of the original controller. The reverse side features tiny AC and AV ports. The ornament also incorporates light and sound effects; pressing the Power button activates a green light and plays the console's iconic startup sound. It operates on three alkaline LR44 replaceable button batteries.

This PlayStation console ornament is the first of its kind from Hallmark and is available for $28.99 exclusively through the company. Most other new Hallmark ornaments will be available on Amazon, unlike this exclusive item.

The Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Premiere, a week-long event, introduces over 250 new ornaments for 2026. A subsequent premiere event in September is set to unveil approximately 150 additional new ornaments.

The 2026 gaming collection extends beyond PlayStation. It includes a new Yoshi ornament featuring motion effects, inspired by the 'Hatchin Yoshi' toy from 'The Super Mario Galaxy Movie', and a Santa Pikachu tree topper with a light-up Poké Ball. Notably, Xbox is not among the initial reveals for this collection, though Hallmark has previously released various Xbox ornaments, including an original console that plays the theme music from 'Halo: Combat Evolved'.

According to IGN, the ornament is part of a larger 2026 gaming collection.
