Hong Kong Police Seize HK$7.2 Million in Drugs, Four Arrested
Hong Kong police have arrested four men and seized approximately 9.5kg of suspected drugs, valued at about HK$7.2 million (US$918,850). The operation involved two mainland Chinese men allegedly recruited by a syndicate through online gaming platforms. The arrests and seizure began on Thursday, following the interception of a suspicious individual in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Hong Kong police have successfully apprehended four individuals and confiscated an estimated 9.5 kilograms of suspected illegal drugs. The street value of the seized narcotics is approximately HK$7.2 million, which translates to about US$918,850.
The case reportedly involves two mainland Chinese men who were allegedly recruited by a criminal syndicate via online gaming platforms. This method of recruitment highlights a new tactic employed by drug trafficking networks.
The police operation commenced on Thursday. Officers initially intercepted a 21-year-old man from mainland China in Tsim Sha Tsui, who attempted to evade capture. Following his apprehension, authorities escorted him to a nearby flat where they discovered and seized 399 grams (14 ounces) of ketamine.
According to South China Morning Post, investigations into the syndicate and its operations are ongoing.
