Hrithik Roshan Reportedly Joins 'Jailer 2' Cameo, Replacing Shah Rukh Khan
Hrithik Roshan is reportedly set to undertake a pivotal cameo role in Rajinikanth's highly anticipated film 'Jailer 2'. This role was initially linked to Shah Rukh Khan, who reportedly stepped away from the project due to scheduling priorities related to his daughter Suhana Khan's debut film, 'King'. The potential casting marks a reunion between Roshan and Rajinikanth after nearly four decades and has generated significant fan interest, despite no official confirmation from the filmmakers.

Speculation has emerged regarding the casting for Rajinikanth's upcoming film 'Jailer 2'. Reports indicate that Hrithik Roshan has reportedly been cast in a significant cameo role within the sequel.
Months prior, reports suggested that Shah Rukh Khan was slated for a special appearance in 'Jailer 2', reportedly a high-octane five-day shoot. However, subsequent reports claimed that Shah Rukh Khan had withdrawn from the project due to scheduling conflicts. He reportedly prioritized his film 'King', which is significant for marking his daughter Suhana Khan's big-screen debut, despite initial enthusiasm for the 'Jailer 2' role.
A new report by Hindustan Times suggests Hrithik Roshan has now been brought in for this special appearance. A source reportedly informed the publication that "Hrithik is definitely doing a strong cameo in Jailer 2. He plays the role of Rajini sir’s friend who comes into the storyline to help in time of crises. Hrithik will be shooting his part this month.”
If these reports prove accurate, the film would mark Hrithik Roshan's on-screen reunion with Rajinikanth after almost 40 years. The two actors last appeared together in the 1986 film 'Bhagwan Dada', where Roshan featured as a child artist.
While the film's makers have not officially confirmed this development, the reported casting has sparked considerable interest among fans and has become a prominent topic of discussion on social media. Separately, Hrithik Roshan recently posted a cryptic message on Instagram, sharing a selfie and expressing a desire for roles similar to 'Zaffar from Luck By Chance', noting, "directors only wanna see me play the good guy. Sad." This post led to discussions about the types of characters he wishes to explore.
