Kennedy Centre Fails to Block Removal of Trump's Name from Building
The Kennedy Centre made a final unsuccessful attempt on Friday evening to prevent the removal of former President Donald Trump's name from its iconic performing arts venue. A judge had earlier rejected a request to delay a court-ordered deadline for removing Trump's name from the building and its operations. An appeal by the institution against this ruling was also rebuffed later the same day, clearing the way for the name's removal.

The Kennedy Centre was unsuccessful in its final efforts on Friday evening to keep President Donald Trump’s name on the facade of its iconic performing arts venue.
Earlier in the afternoon, a judge rejected the institution's request to pause a court-ordered deadline. This deadline mandated the removal of all references to Trump from the building and other operational aspects of the Kennedy Centre.
The institution appealed this ruling, but that effort was also rebuffed later on Friday evening.
Scaffolding had been erected earlier in the day around a section of the building, indicating preparations for the removal of the name.
According to the South China Morning Post, the Centre had exhausted its options to prevent the name change.
