Madhuri Dixit's 'Maa Behen' Secures No. 2 Spot on Netflix Global Top 10
Abundantia Entertainment's latest crime-comedy, "Maa Behen," featuring Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Dharna Durga, and Ravi Kishan, has debuted at the No. 2 position on Netflix's Global Top 10 Non-English Films chart. The film, which premiered globally on June 4, 2026, has trended in 15 countries across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe within its first week. This achievement marks another commercial success for the studio's focus on women-led narratives.

The Indian crime-comedy film "Maa Behen," produced by Abundantia Entertainment, has achieved the No. 2 spot on Netflix's Global Top 10 Non-English Films chart, one week after its worldwide premiere. The movie, which features Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Dharna Durga, and Ravi Kishan, has also trended in 15 countries, spanning regions including Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
Directed by Suresh Triveni and produced by Vikram Malhotra and Suresh Triveni, the film launched on Netflix globally on June 4, 2026. "Maa Behen" is the first of two Netflix Original projects from Abundantia Entertainment slated for release in 2026, with the second being the series "Family Business," starring Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma.

"Maa Behen" continues Abundantia Entertainment's track record of commercially successful female-centric productions. Previous films and series from the studio with women protagonists include "Shakuntala Devi" (2020), "Sherni" (2021), "Jalsa" (2022) starring Vidya Balan; "Chhorii" (2021) and "Chhorii 2" (2025), a horror franchise; "Sukhee" (2023) featuring Shilpa Shetty; and "Daldal" (2026) starring Bhumi Pednekar.
The plot of "Maa Behen" centers on Rekha (Madhuri Dixit), a woman with a controversial reputation in her neighborhood, and her daughters Jaya (Triptii Dimri) and Sushma (Dharna Durga). Their lives take an unexpected turn when they discover a dead body in their kitchen, leading to a comedic and dramatic unfolding of events as they navigate societal perceptions.
According to Bollywood Hungama, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has also referred to Triptii Dimri as a "phenomenon" after watching "Maa Behen".
