Nicole Kidman Reacts to Este Haim's Custom 'Knickole Kidman' T-shirt
Nicole Kidman shared her enthusiastic support for the custom New York Knicks T-shirts worn by Taylor Swift and the Haim sisters. While she could not attend the NBA playoff game, Kidman expressed her approval via Instagram Story, specifically noting Este Haim's 'Knickole Kidman' shirt. The custom tops became a viral moment during the Knicks' improbable comeback victory in Game 4.
Actress Nicole Kidman gave her thumbs-up to Taylor Swift and Este and Alana Haim of the band Haim for their custom New York Knicks T-shirts. Although Kidman was unable to attend the NBA playoff game on Wednesday, June 10, she expressed her support on Thursday, June 11.
Kidman reposted a video from the trio's Instagram Story, writing, "Right there with you girls!" over a clip showing Swift pointing to her "Stevie Knicks" shirt before turning the camera to Este Haim, who was wearing a "Knickole Kidman" T-shirt. Kidman also shared their celebration video, where they danced to Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," adding, "My girls! I just wanna have fun!"
During the game, the group, which also included "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" star Mariska Hargitay wearing a "Stevie Knicks" shirt, garnered significant attention. The New York Knicks secured an improbable last-second victory in Game 4, coming back from a 29-point deficit. Danielle Haim, the third Haim sister, was also reportedly at the game wearing a "Knickolas Cage" shirt, though she did not sit with her siblings.
Alana Haim revealed that she created the custom shirts herself. She purchased royal blue shirts from Michael's for $2.99 each and screen-printed them after receiving a text from Swift with the idea for a music-related Knicks pun. The goal was for the shirts to be fun and humorous, leading to a parade of punny designs.
According to Billboard, Game 5 of the series was scheduled for Saturday, June 13, in San Antonio.
