Singer Olivia Rodrigo recounted an experience of sensing "spirits" during the overnight shoot for her "Drop Dead" music video at the Palace of Versailles in France.
The pop star, a Grammy winner, shared her observations during an appearance on *The Capital Evening Show with Jimmy Hill*. She stated that while filming the visual for her Billboard Hot 100-topping single at the iconic museum, she "definitely" felt a paranormal presence or two.
Rodrigo described the experience as "a little scary" and "a little creepy." She expressed her belief in ghosts, adding, "I feel like if I was a ghost, I’d probably want to haunt the halls of Versailles." She concluded, "I definitely felt some spirits there."
The "Drop Dead" music video premiered in April, featuring Rodrigo exploring the ornate halls of the palace while performing the song. The choice of location was reportedly inspired by a lyric in the song's chorus, which references the "walls of Versailles."
Rodrigo also expressed surprise at being granted permission to film there, calling it a "pipe dream." "Drop Dead" serves as the first track from her third album, *You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love*, which was released on June 12. Following "Drop Dead," she has released two additional music videos for songs from the album, titled "The Cure" and "Stupid Song."
