Olympian Jenny Simpson Hospitalized After Collapsing at North Carolina Track Event
Three-time Olympian Jenny Simpson was hospitalized on Tuesday after experiencing a medical incident at a track event in Raleigh, North Carolina. Simpson, one of America's most accomplished female runners, reportedly lost her pulse during the event but it was restored with CPR and an AED. The organizer, Sir Walter Running, confirmed a "medical incident" occurred while Simpson was pacing a mile group. She is currently receiving treatment following the collapse.

Reports from Runner’s World and LetsRun indicated that Simpson lost her pulse for a period of time. These reports also stated that her pulse was subsequently restored through the use of CPR and an automated external defibrillator (AED).
Simpson is recognized for her significant achievements in the sport, including winning a bronze medal in the 1500m at the 2016 Olympic Games.
According to The Guardian Sport, she was taken to the hospital immediately after the collapse.
