Serena Williams' Queen's Club Return Ends Prematurely Due to Partner Mboko's Injury
Serena Williams' first tournament appearance since her retirement concluded early at the Queen's Club after her doubles partner, Victoria Mboko, was forced to withdraw. Mboko sustained a knee injury following a fall on the grass during her singles match on Wednesday. The pair had previously secured a victory against third seeds Nicole Melichar Martinez and Erin Routliffe.

Serena Williams' return to competitive tennis, after a four-year absence, ended prematurely at the Queen's Club tournament. Her partner, Victoria Mboko, withdrew from the competition following a knee injury sustained during her singles match on Wednesday.
Mboko's injury occurred after a heavy fall on the grass court. This withdrawal meant the pair could not proceed with their scheduled match on Thursday afternoon against Leylah Fernandez and Laura Siegemund.
Williams, 44, had made her comeback on Tuesday alongside Mboko. The duo successfully defeated the third-seeded team of Nicole Melichar Martinez and Erin Routliffe in their opening match, with a score of 7-6(2), 6-2.
Following this early exit, Williams' focus is now reported to be on securing a wildcard spot for a tournament in Berlin.
