Sheridan Smith, Alison Steadman, Hammed Animashaun Voice 'The Baddies' Adaptation
Sheridan Smith, Alison Steadman, and Hammed Animashaun are confirmed to lend their voices to an upcoming animated adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s acclaimed children’s book, “The Baddies.” Smith will serve as the narrator for the half-hour animation, with Steadman cast as Witch and Animashaun as Troll. Robyn Cara is also slated to join the cast for this project, produced by multi-Oscar-nominated Magic Light Pictures.

Smith, a prominent actress, will serve as the narrator for the animated special. Veteran performer Alison Steadman has been cast in the role of Witch, while Hammed Animashaun, recognized from ‘SNL U.K.,’ is set to voice the character of Troll. Additionally, Robyn Cara is slated to join the ensemble cast for the production.
The adaptation is being developed by Magic Light Pictures, a production company with a history of critical success, having received multiple Oscar nominations for its animated works. This collaboration continues Magic Light Pictures' tradition of transforming beloved literary works into engaging screen content for audiences.
According to Variety, the trio of acclaimed actors, alongside Robyn Cara, will bring their vocal talents to this highly anticipated animated project.
