Telegram Wear OS App Relaunches with Enhanced Functionality
Telegram has re-launched its application for Wear OS, providing smartwatch users with a comprehensive messaging experience. The updated app allows individuals to scroll through entire conversations, view media content, and play voice messages directly from their wrist. Users can also send replies via text or voice, utilize stickers, and manage chat functions such as muting, pinning, or deleting without needing their phone.

Telegram has officially reinstated its application for Wear OS, offering a more robust messaging experience for smartwatch users. The re-released app enables users to access full conversations, view various media types including photos and videos, and play voice messages directly on their wrist-worn devices.
Beyond viewing content, the application supports interactive features such as replying with text or voice, sending stickers, and managing chats. Users can mute, pin, or delete conversations directly from their smartwatch, reducing the need to use their smartphone for these tasks.
This reintroduction addresses a gap left after Telegram withdrew its Wear OS app in 2021. The current rollout extends official support to both Android smartwatches and Apple Watch devices, following a period of beta testing.
In related updates, the Telegram app on Android now supports rich formatting, longer messages, and moderation tools for bots. Additional features like polls, links, and an in-app browser are also included to enhance flexibility.
According to Android Authority, the new Wear OS app aims to deliver a fully functional messaging experience that was previously unavailable to users.
