Developer Odaclick Game Studio and publisher Trailmark Games have announced The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival, a new pixelated beat 'em up. The game is single-player and features Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne as playable characters.
The game is set to adapt the "All Out War" storyline, depicting Rick and his group's conflict with The Saviors, led by Negan. Players will explore familiar environments from the show, including the Sanctuary, Hilltop, and Alexandria, which are enhanced with dynamic set pieces, environmental hazards, and story-driven moments.
Each playable character will utilize unique weapons: Rick Grimes wields his magnum revolver, Daryl Dixon uses knives and a crossbow, and Michonne employs her katana. The game will feature both zombie and human enemies, with multi-phase boss battles against characters such as Negan and Simon, as well as Winslow and the Well Walker.
The game will offer multiple difficulty settings, allowing players to master each character's moves. While no release date has been specified, a demo is currently accessible to Steam players on PC. There is no mention of multiplayer functionality.
The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is slated for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Trailmark Games stated that this announcement is the first of many from the new publisher. Odaclick Game Studio is also known for developing The Karate Kid: Street Rumble, which shares a similar style.
According to IGN, the game will come to PC and consoles at an unspecified point in the future.
