VSCO has introduced Studio Pro, a new mobile photo editing application now available on iOS. The company plans to release a macOS version of the app later this year, according to reports by Bloomberg. This new offering is intended to compete with existing professional editing software, particularly those by Adobe.
At its launch, Studio Pro includes features such as batch editing, which allows users to apply edits to multiple images simultaneously. It also offers style matching, enabling users to apply a consistent aesthetic across images using a reference photo. Users can share their edited images through VSCO Galleries.
VSCO has announced that more features are slated for future updates. These will include support for RAW image files, advanced export options, and additional sophisticated editing tools like the ability to adjust image aspect ratios. The app is designed to manage high-volume editing projects, making it suitable for tasks such as weddings, portraits, events, sports, school photography, and other large-scale photoshoots. The service is planned to be offered via a $500 per year subscription.
