YouTuber Reckless Ben Claims Legal Ban from Discussing LEGO Reseller Bricks & Minifigs
YouTuber Reckless Ben has stated he is legally forbidden from discussing the LEGO reseller Bricks & Minifigs, claiming he faces jail time if he continues to do so. This development follows his extensive investigation into the company, which began after Bryan Mansell alleged that Bricks & Minifigs' new owners refused to honor a consignment deal for his father's valuable LEGO collection. Ben's involvement reportedly led to legal challenges and a warrant for his arrest before Bricks & Minifigs issued a statement seeking resolution.

YouTuber Reckless Ben has announced that he is legally prohibited from discussing the LEGO reseller Bricks & Minifigs, stating that continued discourse on the matter would result in his incarceration. Ben conveyed this information in a video titled "My final message," indicating that he was digitally served papers enforcing this restriction. He also mentioned potential negative impacts on his friends and the seizure of funds raised for legal fees via GoFundMe.
Ben alleged that the gag order was issued based on claims of bomb and death threats, though he states he was unable to present his defense in court. He indicated that he intends to release further content about the "LEGO debacle" if the situation is resolved.
The controversy originated when Bryan Mansell entered into a consignment agreement with a Bricks & Minifigs store in Oregon. This deal allowed the store to sell his father's LEGO Star Wars collection, reportedly valued at approximately $200,000, with a portion of sales going to the retailer.
Following an alleged hostile takeover by Bricks & Minifigs corporate, new management, identified as Joshua Johnson and Brandon Best, reportedly took over the Oregon store. Johnson and Best allegedly refused to honor Mansell's consignment deal, asserting that such agreements were not authorized for franchisees. However, former owner Chrystal Gorman reportedly posted her franchisee contract online, which indicated these deals were permitted. Johnson and Best allegedly retained Mansell's LEGOs and threatened him with a prolonged legal battle.
Mansell subsequently sought assistance from Reckless Ben, who spent months investigating the situation. Ben claimed that Johnson and Best allegedly used local police against him, resulting in raids and traffic stops. Ben speculated that this might be due to an affiliation between Best, Johnson, and local police through a shared church. Unredacted body camera footage from Ben's police encounters was later leaked, prompting allegations of abuse of power and violations of Ben's constitutional rights.
These events culminated in a warrant being issued for Ben's arrest on charges of stalking and harassment, leading him to allegedly flee to Mexico. In early June, after the situation gained significant public attention, Bricks & Minifigs issued a public statement. The company offered to return Mansell's collection and any other LEGO Star Wars sets they possessed, regardless of original ownership. It remains unclear whether Mansell will accept this offer. Johnson and Best have since separated from Bricks & Minifigs following public outcry.
According to IGN, Reckless Ben has stated he faces jail time if he continues to speak about the LEGO reseller Bricks & Minifigs.
