This perspective was formalized in a policy document unveiled on Wednesday. Within the document, Beijing reiterated its commitment to upholding the "central" role of the United Nations in the global governance of these rapidly developing sectors.
The policy document, a white paper titled “More Just and Equitable Global Governance: China’s Principles, Proposals and Actions,” outlines China's principles, proposals, and actions regarding the international governance of these new domains.
