Chrome Canary Tests AI-Powered Autofill with Gemini Integration
Google's Chrome Canary is now testing a new feature called "Find and Fill with Gemini," an AI-supercharged autofill capability. This feature automatically pulls information from various parts of a user's Google account, including apps like Photos and Gmail, to complete online forms, even if the data hasn't been manually saved in Chrome. Google has stated that the information used for autofill is not visible to others and is not utilized for AI training.
Chrome Canary is currently trialing an enhanced autofill system named "Find and Fill with Gemini." This new feature leverages artificial intelligence to automatically populate online forms by sourcing relevant data from across a user's Google account.
The system is designed to access information stored in various Google services, such as Google Photos and Gmail. This allows it to fill in form fields using details that may not have been explicitly saved by the user within Chrome itself.
As noted by Windows Report, users can activate "Find and Fill with Gemini" within Chrome Canary's browser settings. Google has provided assurances regarding data privacy, stating that any information used by this autofill feature remains confidential and is not visible to other parties. Furthermore, Google confirms that this data will not be used to train its AI models.
