Dispatch Game Update Reduces Censorship on Nintendo Switch
AdHoc Studio has released a new update for its game, Dispatch, on the Nintendo Switch. This update aims to reduce the previously implemented "hard censorship" within the game, allowing players more control over how explicit scenes appear. The developer also issued an apology for the lack of transparency regarding the initial censorship at the game's launch.

A new update for the game Dispatch is now available on the Nintendo Switch, which aims to reduce the severity of its in-game censorship.
Upon its launch in January 2026, Dispatch on the Nintendo Switch included significant censorship, such as black boxes obscuring certain visual elements. These included depictions of butt cracks, the character Toxic's free-flying green dong, and even Sonar giving Robert the middle finger.
Developer AdHoc Studio is responsible for this free new update, which reportedly tones down some of the initial censorship. The studio also issued an apology, acknowledging a lack of transparency regarding what Nintendo Switch players could anticipate at the game's launch.
According to Polygon, the update now allows players to choose how more explicit scenes are displayed.
