This new series highlights specific dishes found to be popular at various restaurants. The pilot episode focused on the steak frites served at Lori Jayne, a establishment operating within the Danger Danger bar in Brooklyn.
Chef Sam Braverman helms Lori Jayne, and the episode delved into every aspect of preparing his steak frites, including butchery, fry preparation, steak butter, and a unique au poivre sauce rendition, culminating in the final assembly. The episode quickly gained popularity, surpassing 1 million views within three days of its release. Its success reportedly led viewers to recreate the dish at home and prompted such high demand at Lori Jayne that the steak frites sold out.
