Eater Video Content to Stream on Netflix Starting August 3
Eater, the award-winning digital publisher specializing in food and culture, is set to launch its video programming on Netflix beginning August 3. Hundreds of new, recent, and archival Eater videos, including popular series such as "Mise en Place" and "Smoke Point," will become available. This initiative extends to audiences in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. The partnership is part of Netflix's broader strategy to integrate video content from numerous digital publishers onto its platform.
Eater, a prominent digital publisher focused on restaurants and food culture, will introduce its video library to Netflix. Starting August 3, viewers can access hundreds of Eater's new, recent, and archival videos on the streaming service. This content will be discoverable on the Netflix homepage for audiences in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
The catalog will feature new episodes from current series like "Let’s Do Lunch" and "Chef’s Day Off," alongside established favorites such as "Mise en Place," "Smoke Point," "Handmade," "Vendors," and "Brent Meats World." This move is part of Netflix's announcement regarding partnerships with numerous digital publishers to enhance its video offerings.
Alongside Eater, other food brands, including Bon Appétit, Epicurious, Delish, Food & Wine, Tastemade, and Buzzfeed’s Tasty, are also expected to stream their content on Netflix. Additionally, lifestyle video content from Architectural Digest, Allure, Billboard, Variety, and Harper’s Bazaar will join the platform.
Stephen Pelletteri, Eater’s Vice President of Video, stated that the collaboration with Netflix aims to expand the global reach of Eater’s video program and introduce its storytelling about restaurants and food culture to new audiences. Eater’s video programming has received multiple New York and Daytime Emmy nominations and wins, as well as other journalism awards.
