Gout Gout Claims Third Place, National Record in Ostrava; Lyles Sets New 150m World Record
Australian sprinter Gout Gout secured third place at the Golden Spike track and field meet in Ostrava, establishing a new national record of 14.96 seconds in the 150m sprint. This result marked an improvement on his Diamond League debut. The event saw Gout Gout's training partner, US Olympic gold medallist Noah Lyles, set a new world record for the rarely-contested distance, completing it in 14.67 seconds.

His performance in Ostrava represented an improvement on his previous Diamond League debut.
The 150m race was won by US Olympic gold medallist Noah Lyles, who is also Gout Gout's training mate. Lyles recorded a time of 14.67 seconds, which established a new world record for the distance.
Lyles' record-breaking effort surpassed the previous mark of 14.92 seconds, which had been set by Jamaica's Kishane Thompson earlier this year in Florida.
