Jalen Brunson Addresses Taylor Swift's NBA Finals Appearance and Wedding Reports
Knicks star Jalen Brunson reflected on Taylor Swift's attendance at Game 4 of the NBA Finals, where she witnessed a historic comeback by the New York Knicks. Brunson expressed appreciation for her presence courtside. He also addressed reports regarding an invitation to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, stating he did not attend the event.
Knicks star Jalen Brunson spoke last week at Variety’s inaugural Sports & Entertainment Studio, discussing Taylor Swift's attendance at Game 4 of the NBA Finals in June. Swift was courtside for the game between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden, witnessing the Knicks' largest comeback in Finals history from a 29-point deficit.
Brunson expressed his appreciation for Swift's presence among the celebrity guests. He noted her prior attendance at Knicks games and an Eastern Conference Finals game in Cleveland, attributing her presence in Ohio to Travis and the Kelce family's roots.
During the historic Game 4 win, Swift cheered on the Knicks while wearing a “Stevie Knicks” T-shirt alongside Este and Alana Haim, as well as actress Mariska Hargitay. The Knicks ultimately defeated the Spurs in five games, securing their first championship in 53 years.
Page Six reported that Brunson and the other Knicks starting five members were invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding.
Brunson addressed these reports, stating that he “did not attend” the wedding. He added that he learned about the invitation reports the same way the rest of the world did and did not confirm the veracity of the invitation itself.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly married at Madison Square Garden on July 3. The ceremony was said to have included over 1,000 guests, with Adam Sandler serving as the officiant.
