Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Receives Free Cinematic 'Fresh Start' Suit Update
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is set to receive a free update on July 28, introducing the "Fresh Start" suit to the game's collection. This costume, Peter Parker's latest cinematic outfit, was briefly seen at the end of *Spider-Man: No Way Home* in 2021. The update from developer Insomniac Games arrives just days before the new film *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* opens in theaters on July 31.

Developer Insomniac Games has announced a free update for *Marvel's Spider-Man 2*, which will add the "Fresh Start" suit to the game. This update is scheduled for release on July 28.
The "Fresh Start" suit represents Peter Parker's most recent cinematic attire. The costume made a brief appearance at the conclusion of *Spider-Man: No Way Home* in 2021, depicting Peter in a more comic-book-accurate outfit after encountering his alternate-world counterparts.
This in-game addition precedes the theatrical release of *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*, which is set to debut on July 31. Insomniac Games shared news of the free update via social media.
In addition to *Marvel's Spider-Man 2*, Insomniac Games is currently developing *Marvel's Spider-Man 3*. The studio is also working on *Marvel's Wolverine*, a game featuring the X-Men character. *Marvel's Wolverine* is slated for release on PlayStation 5 on September 15. Combat mechanics for *Marvel's Wolverine* are expected to incorporate aspects from Insomniac's earlier *Spider-Man* games, potentially including team-up moves involving Wolverine and Jean Grey.
There has been no official announcement regarding actor Tom Holland reprising his role in *Avengers: Doomsday* later this year.
