Robbie Williams has secured worldwide agency representation with WME. The announcement was made on Wednesday, June 17, and follows Williams' recent move to the ATC Management roster.
Throughout his solo career, Williams has achieved significant chart success. He holds the record for the most U.K. No. 1 albums by a solo artist with 16, surpassing the Beatles. The Official Charts Company recognizes six of his albums among the top 100 best-selling British recorded music history. His international album sales exceed 90 million.
Williams has received 18 Brit Awards, more than any other artist. His other accolades include eight German ECHO Awards and three MTV Europe Music Awards. Last year, he was appointed the official FIFA music ambassador, co-writing and recording the anthem "Desire," which is featured at international soccer governing body tournaments, including the current FIFA World Cup.
Prior to his solo career, Williams was a member of the pop group Take That, formed in 1989 alongside Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen, and Jason Orange. The group's 2011 Progress tour, which saw Williams rejoin, sold over 1 million tickets in less than 24 hours. Take That also performed at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics and holds the record for the most headline shows at London's The O2, with 34 performances.
