'Rock City' Comedy Series from Janelle James and David Caspe in Development at Hulu
Hulu is developing "Rock City," a new comedy series featuring "Abbott Elementary" star Janelle James and "Happy Endings" creator David Caspe. The duo will write and executive produce the project, which is also backed by Universal Television. The show's premise involves a woman returning to her Virgin Islands hometown to inherit a tourist trap from her estranged father, only to uncover a deeper legacy.

James and Caspe are set to co-write and executive produce "Rock City." The series is also being developed in collaboration with Universal Television.
The narrative of "Rock City" focuses on a woman's return to her hometown within the Virgin Islands. Her journey home is prompted by inheriting a local tourist trap from her estranged father. Upon her arrival and deeper investigation, she quickly ascertains that the inheritance extends beyond the initial property, revealing she has been left much more than she anticipated.
According to Deadline Hollywood, the comedy is in the early stages of development at the streaming platform.
