Rosalía's LUX Tour arrived at Madison Square Garden in New York on Tuesday night (June 16), presenting a performance that integrated a diverse range of artistic influences. The show featured an estimated 24 songs and drew upon the visual languages of ballet, medieval opera, Spanish flamenco, and techno.
The tour, which debuted in Lyon in March, has been characterized as Rosalía's most ambitious live production to date. It aimed to balance monumental scale with intimate moments, blending rigorous choreography with spontaneous expression. Accompanied by a classical orchestra, Rosalía adopted various roles throughout the performance, including ballerina, nightclub instigator, and confessional penitent.
Religious and art-historical imagery were prominent, from a Degas-inspired opening to a white headpiece associated with her 2025 album's iconography. The setlist incorporated both theatrical grandeur and crowd-engaging segments.
The Madison Square Garden engagement carried additional emotional significance for the artist. Following the postponement of several North American dates due to a family emergency, Rosalía had recently returned to performing in Boston, where she reportedly emphasized the importance of family.
According to Billboard, the performance at Madison Square Garden fulfilled the tour's grand vision, offering a variety of visual and musical moments from its opening to the finale.
