SpaceX, the aerospace manufacturer and space transportation services company, has reportedly undertaken a significant acquisition following its record Initial Public Offering (IPO). The company is said to be in the process of acquiring Cursor, an AI coding startup with an estimated valuation of $60 billion.
This strategic move is attributed to Elon Musk, who founded both SpaceX and xAI. The acquisition of Cursor is described as Musk's solution to address the competitive struggles of xAI.
