Red Bull Leipzig's Yan Diomandé has addressed speculation regarding his club future. The 19-year-old midfielder spoke following Ivory Coast’s win against Ecuador in the FIFA World Cup, where he is currently competing.
Diomandé has been heavily linked with a move away from RB Leipzig during the upcoming summer transfer window. Both Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are reportedly showing intense interest in acquiring the player.
His performances for RB Leipzig have been notable, contributing 13 goals and nine assists, which helped the club return to the Champions League. According to a report from Foot Mercato, Diomandé already has an agreement in place with PSG, who were recently crowned UEFA Champions League champions for consecutive seasons.
In a previous interview with Téléfoot, Diomandé revealed he was a childhood fan of the reigning European champions. However, he also indicated a potential interest in England's top flight. "The Premier League? I am an RB Leipzig player but why not? But it is my agents who manage it and I am focused on the World Cup," Diomandé stated.
These comments could potentially boost Liverpool’s hopes of signing the winger.
