Amazon's Project Kuiper Satellites Await Launch While Production Continues
Hundreds of Amazon's flight-ready satellites are currently idle in Florida, awaiting deployment for the company's low-Earth orbit (LEO) internet constellation, Project Kuiper. An Amazon official stated that these satellites are built and in a processing facility, with the company manufacturing several new satellites daily. The next mission is slated to launch three dozen Amazon LEO satellites from French Guiana using an Ariane 64 rocket.

Amazon currently has hundreds of flight-ready satellites idled in Florida, awaiting launch to join the company's low-Earth orbit internet constellation.
Steve Metayer, vice president of Amazon Leo Production Operations, confirmed on Tuesday during a teleconference with reporters that the satellites are "built, and sitting in a payload processing facility waiting for trips to orbit." He added that Amazon is currently manufacturing several satellites daily.
Amazon is preparing for its next mission, which will see an Ariane 64 rocket launch three dozen of its LEO satellites into orbit. The launch is scheduled from a spaceport in French Guiana, with liftoff targeted for 7:53 am ET (11:53 UTC) on Wednesday.
Regarding launch capabilities, an Amazon official noted that Arianespace has "definitely stepped up."
